A Dream In Their Mind Is Our Mission
Denise Foundation (DF) is a non-profit voluntary organization established in 2002, created solely to help the cause of the mentally challenged, multiply disabled and autistic.
Denise Foundation aims to provide the requisite financial and material support geared towards the social and economic independence of persons living with autism, with particular attention to special education, and regular academic programs through therapeutic interventions and vocational training.
Denise Foundation seeks to serve as a bridge for integrating high-functioning special needs, especially autistic children, students/persons in mainstream schools and villages across the globe, especially Africa and Ghana
Our History
Denise Foundation was born out of the living faith and optimism of Mr. and Mrs. Pobee, the biological parents of Denise, who was born autistic. To begin with, this child was saddled with problems. But slowly, bit by bit, with the help and guidance of her mother, she started to cross the innumerable hurdles that hindered her progress. At times. her progress was nothing short of miraculous. This inspired her mother to extend the same kind of help and guidance to other handicapped children. And thus, the Denise Foundation -the charitable society- was born.
